What was the first Gleaner to have a cover over the top of the engine? There is one in a pasture out near where Dad grew up, and he doesn't know what model it is, and neither do I. It's 150 miles away from me right now, or else I'd go look myself.
I haven't seen it in person in years, but I found it on Google Maps, and it has the square radiator stack and it seems the sheet metal cover over the engine. I always thought it was an A, but now I'm not sure. Hopefully I can make it out there after school is out and get some photos.
Thanks!

I think around 1960 I'll have to check parts book. I think the late A or C would have a cover over motor.

Ok. I know grandpa's were 54 and 55, and they didn't have covers.
They might have put the cover on what I call the "second generation A". Not the AII, but the later A's that are visibly different from the early A's.

Also...off topic...but a friend of mine knows where the 41st AII is! It's here in SW OK.
