Just bought a 7045 not long ago for our ag bag. Takes 540 pto with good amount of HP to run. We run newer JD equipment but I'm falling for this old gal. Trying to locate and fix leaks. First leak was the piston pump suction tube underneath. Fixed it but noticed another leak up further. It's coming somewhere by the small fuel tank where there are 3 or 4 metal lines. Checked from behind tractor and no visible dampness. So after I drop the small tank what should I expect up in there? Pretty sure it's fluid from the powershift as I was adding a lot of fluid since owning. I have a pic but darn thing taking forever to upload.

Already pressure washed 20 pounds of build up from leaks....was thinking it would be one of those lines. Any reason I couldn't make up some regular hydraulic line for those lines and eliminate the metal lines?

I had one with a leak behind the the right tank. Pulled the tank and the cab mounts were bad rubbed holes in the brake lines. Previous owners did some brazing, didn't work.
![]() I replaced them with a set from a maroon belly. They had a factory bend in them to give them more room. Plus I did the cab mounts also. ![]() |
