wow i hit the button too soon i guess, has anyone ever added a 3rd remote on a 7060? is it any more involved than adding the lever in the console plus the cable and adding a valve to the stack with hoses and linkage of coarse,or is it a PITA?

I just added a 3rd remote to our 8050. The worst part for me was installing the lever. First off the pin was froze, then dangling out the cab and working around the seat trying to line up all three levers and spacers was aggravating. I was told to replace all o-rings between valves, which I did. The 3pt valve has a small poppet spring inside. Also, lower your lift arms before loosening valve bolts. Had I remembered that, it wouldn't have made such a mess.

Uncle always said "Fill the back of the shovel and the front will take care of itself".

I added a 3rd and 4th in both the 7045 and 7080. I was told that I needed to cut off most of the threads of the cable end inside the cab as because it is just a little to long for the yoke and lever.
Install everything and check to see if I am right BEFORE you make a cut. I has been about 10 years since I have on one. To add a 4th, take a long lever from the front set and make 2-90 degree bends in it. The lower bend brings the lever just under the front cables and the second bend runs the lever upward just behind the third lever. You also have to add a cable holder in the back of the console for the forth cable.

I'm sure they are probably pretty good stuff, even tho they are only torqued to 12-15 ft lbs. I'd see if Cat doesn't have a regular Gr8 bolt pretty close to correct length and put the heads to the left(nuts to the right) and use Cat flat washers under the heads to shim the length to where you want it.
