I have used one off of a Chevy pickup. The only difference is the truck has a slightly smaller pulley. I think it's 5 5/8 on the tractor and 5 on the truck. The offset is the same for single pulley compressors.

Most any A-6 compressor will work. The best thing to do if you get one in the junkyard is to make sure it turns freely by hand. Make sure the clutch looks good and the pulley bearing sounds good. I always drain the old oil out (they have a drain plug on the bottom) and make sure it doesn't have metal in it. Then I put in the newer double lip teflon front seal. It is for an HR-6 compressor, same dimensions. NOTE you must use the seal installer for this seal so the teflon lip doesn't get scratched. Here is the seal and the installer.
I don't even put in the felt wick because you won't have any oil seepage like the oil ceramic seals had. I've probably done 10 or 12 of them and have a couple of them here that I did 15 years ago and still no leaks. The only thing I use out of the seal kit is the oring and seal.
