I am wondering, where is the stock location where a cold starting aid (quick start) is to be mounted to a D 21? Thank you for your time.

I assume you are referring to the ether can. .? Don't hate me if I am wrong, but I don't think D21 s ever had that as "stock." I think they all had manifold heaters. I hope that I haven't misunderstood your question. Darrel

I think the factory ether assist kit looked like a butane torch canister and was controlled by a choke cable from the dashboard. So, the operator was in complete control of HOW MUCH starting fluid was released when he pulled out on the cables knob. Seems like it was mounted on the left side of the engine on a couple of longer intake manifold bolts.

I don't Hate you Darrel, but I have seen a D21 Kit in the Agco parts book, and it appears to mount to the rear of the head.
