Topic: Plow shares and moldboards for B & C two way plowsPosted: 02 Sep 2016 at 7:52pm |
|
Now I am in search of some parts for my B & C two way plow. I need a left and right moldboard and the left and right shares. The shares have a hook on the bottom for the draw rod to tighten up and use a bolt as well to secure the share to the frog. Any help in finding these parts is greatly appreciated.

I would not hesitate to contact Wertz Power Equipment, Glen Rock, PA They were originally Wertz Garage, an Allis Chalmers Dealer since 1937. While they now sell Massey Ferguson equipment they are an AGCO dealer and may well have or can obtain plow shares and other plow equipment you need.
In fact one of the son's of the Owner, David Dickmyer, has a two way plow mounted on a 1941 C. I was pleased to drive it at plow day. I do not have their contact information but you can Google It Good Luck! Bill Long

Knowing the plow frame and the tractor does not identify the bottom and the plow parts. I have a long treatise on the topic with links to parts book AC Plows Parts 101 over on the Knowledge Forum. You need to find a plow bottom component part number, like the frog, moldboard, or plow share. Several bottoms used the hook to hold the share in place. The details are in the bottoms parts book referenced in AC Plows Parts 101. Allis tended to offer at least a half a dozen shares for any bottom side and width, doubled for two sizes of width, doubled for left and right.
A rough guess would be a 25 or 125 bottom, but that's a wild guess. Gerald J. |

Luckily I do have a factory Allis-Chalmers plow parts book. I was just thumbing through it yesterday to look for some of the parts associated with the framing. I will definitely give Wertz a call to see about the moldboards and shares. Thank you all for the insight.

Look for the part#s on the back sides. Post them so you can find the same ones.

The left share is a 308843 and the right share is a 308805. The left moldboard is a 308893 and the right moldboard is a 309212. I also noticed in my parts book there is a part number for the hook which I didn't think was separate and it is a 308818. Is the draw rod still possibly available at an agco dealer?

Those are 325 16" bottoms, left and right. Shares that could replace the 308843 soft center steel include 309249 alfalfa soft center steel, 308846 solid steel, 309227 narrow cut deep suck solid steel, 308849 chilled iron, 309225 narrow cut deep suck chilled iron.
Shares that could replace the 308805 solid steel include 308802 soft center steel, 309248 soft center steel alfalfa, 323652 full cut deep suck soft center steel, 308838 solid steel narrow cut deep suck, 308808 chilled iron, 309223 chilled iron narrow cut deep suck. Draw rods 14 and 16" left and right are the same 314586. These all came from the plow bottoms book referenced above. Gerald J. |

Yes I do CAMBIS. I have kinda put off my search for a little while but I most certainly could use them. How much would you take for the moldboards and shares?

There were several bottoms that would fit the plow frames. You need to identify the bottoms by part numbers on frog, moldboard, or plow shares. There was not a universal bottom for a B or C plow. Study AC Plows Parts 101 over in the knowledge forum, there are also links to a plow frames and a plow bottoms parts book to help in the identification process.
