My D17 has a Zenith carb. It seems to be working very well.

According to my references, D 17 gas used a Marvel Schebler carb. My D17 is LP so uses an Ensign..

I don't know how many different ones there were for the Series I, but I know that I have a Marvel-Schebler TSX464 on my Series I, Serial # 5844.
Some of them had a tag just above the air inlet and some of them were stamped into the mounting flange toward the top. HTH.......Ted |
