Does anyone know if you can put a D17 Series III in to an Un-styled WC chassis? I can get a rebuilt motor and that would be easier than trying to rebuild an old gleaner I have. Thanks, Dave

Any D-17 gas engine can be made fit into a WC tractor. Use the WC flywheel and clutch, water pump and crankshaft pulley( bore the pulley for a thru hole). The one oil line from the filter base to the block may have to be repositioned to clear the steering wheel shaft.

   Dr. Allis,

I am on the cusp of going for it. I have a gleaner engine, but it isn't complete and I'd have just about as much in the gleaner as I would buying the rebuilt D17. Dave |
