Looking for a mounted plow for my boys C. The manual lift ones...how hard do they lift? Also, how much ground clearance is there under the moldboard? Would like to be able to trailer it to do gardens.

First, you'd be better off with a hydraulic lift and all the parts are much easier to find.
It should have the clearance you need to go on and off a trailer easy.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Aaron, I have to agree with Paul. Get a hyd lift. A lot easier to find and a LOT EASIER to operate. If I recall when I hand lifted a plow it was all I could do. When the Hyd came out it was a dream come true.
I was pleased to plow with David Dickmyer's C at our plow day in May. They are a fun tractor to plow with. Since it is mounted can work into a corner easily. As to putting them on you trailer you will have no problem. If your rear wheels are not "loaded" you may want to get some wheel weights. Don't forget to check e-bay. They seem to have everything. Have Fun Good Luck! Bill Long

I have a C hand lift, but the freight would be enormous from PA. On mine the brake lock on the right side was removed to give a path for clearance for the lift bar.
