I yanked the clutch out of my WD yesterday. Can't say it's the easiest thing I have ever done, wasn't to bad though. Only had to crawl around on the floor a couple of times. My knee doesn't like that much.
Looked at the book when i was done to see how to do it and it said to pull the engine.
Go figure......I didn't do it that way.
Who's the best to get a 9 spring clutch set from?

Which way did you do it? Always heard that pulling the engine was the fastest, or at least easiest.

3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

I split it and unhooked all the misc crap. Unbolted the pressure plate and disc and put it in the bellhousing. Used a 3/8 ratchet and a pipe cheater to unbolt the flywheel. I then tied a rope around the flywheel and wiggled it loose so it wouldn't hit the concrete. Unhooked the spring for the throwout bearing and took it off. Alot of it was done through the starter hole.
I will reassemble in the reverse order as any manual says. The only problem I forsee is the disc alignment. I have about 50 alignment tools at work for cars and trucks, I'm going to see if one of those match reasonably well or use a mirror. I had done this about 15 years ago on another WD. I was thinking at the time that this is sure a PITA for a clutch.
You have 5" of clearance between the block and bellhousing. Enough plus an inch to get the flywheel out.
It took 3 1/2 hours.

Still in piles till I find another clutch.
Anyone have any suggestions for a 9 spring clutch set?
