   So I'm putting an inner cooler off a 7060 on a 220 and it has some sort of an probe for lack of knowing what it's actual name is but I think it is the ether injector maybe,any help would greatly appreciated. This one is broke off. | |

   Ether atomizer. It's brass. Carefully drill it out I guess. How are you going to connect up the coolant flow on a 220 water pump?? or is this a newer Mark II engine from a 7000 series??

   Yes,likely the ether injector. You could  leave it, block it, or drill it out. It's made of brass so it would drill easily but getting the chips and pieces out of the manifold could be a chore unless you have the inner cooler disassembled.

   Been there done that. Have a 3500 MK II engine in my 220 that I added an intercooler. To get proper flow, you will require the big waterpump that only discharges to the left side. Now you will need to move the lower rad inlet from the right side to the left side. While I was at it, I recored the rad with 7 rows. to finish it off the alternator is now on the right hand side.

   Calvin, your 220XT evidently uses a cam driven oil pump. Was the original engine like that too?

   My original 220 cam driven oil pump engine is now in my 210. The engine shown is "On Highway Spec" with the crank driven oil pump and the inline injection pump. It had 82 original hours when installed

   Im confused. That last pic shows a camshaft driven tach cable and that can't happen unless it's a cam driven oil pump?

   For those who haven't been into one of those engines, there is a hollow spot in the block where a cam bearing could have been, but instead the camshaft driven oil pump gears  were instead.  The story goes that any of the tractor pulling blocks (with 4 turbos/200+ psi boost) that failed, usually failed in that area of the block from lack of cast iron.
