attended a family wake this last Sunday, and some of my cousins from CA was there, they brought their Mother home here for burial. the one cousin I thinks lives pretty close to you out there, he showed me on the map, but i'll hafta gits the name of the town again. he is retired from the forest service, he was in charge of feeding all the fire fighters during the forest fires out there every year. he and his sister are volunteers on the "STAR OF INDIA" tall ship out of San Diego, they said they have rebuilt that ship and it'll be sailing again in the upcoming couple months. there is a web site on that ship. he said he rebuilt an old tractor and uses it on his acreage out there, he wants to come out to my place to look for another project, maybe i'll show him one of the jeeps! nice to know I gots a "contact" out by you! lol

My condolences about your aunt.  But dang how am I going to hide now,he may get that thing aimed. Oh maybe global warming is here, that nice toasty Pacific ocean at 57 degrees can melt a lot of "pretty" . So       bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Melted pretty is just what I need, maybe it will be some real wet stuff not this dang little spit they talking up. But I am not to sure your cousins can find except the smell of rotter grape from  the making wine ,and now the"coolest town" award from some touristy outfit. But I would not be surprised if I know somebody that knows them. There cannot be that many old time sailing ships around. My sons FIL was chief carpenter on one when he retired his regular job. It was not in San Diego but south of LA.  | |

Yeah Dale, Ferndale is up north of Ray quite a ways, closer to Mel.  It's a long day's drive to San Diego from there. | |

Well at least San Diego and Ferndale are both close to the ocean. So I guess they could use a boat to go back and forth.  So maybe they don't want to be bothered with a dead Jeep.
