Topic: VS pulley on F2 whats the fixPosted: 07 Nov 2016 at 2:31pm |
So this is the Hydraulic line going into the variable drive pulley on my new F2. the line itself isnt leaking. when you have the combine running and move the Speed lever in the cab to make the pulley move, It sprays out oil from around the big nut (you can see its pretty clean from oil slinging past it). I can grab the hydraulic line and it moves in and out about a 1/2" is this normal? what is it going to take to fix this? on my other combine (F) it has a external cylinder thats totally different than this. trying to find a parts Schematic on AGCO site I cant seem to find this pulley thanks for any tips

That is referred to as the hydraulic swivel connection. Replace it with a brand new one of a different design.

so your saying there is a swivel between the line and the pulley, and you think its the swivel leaking not something internal? just trying to understand this. so is the swivel a AGCO sourced part or just like a generic swivel that would be at a farm store?

AGCO is the only place I know of to get what you need. Dig out the small snap ring that holds that apparatus together and throw away everything to install the new style like they had from 1980 and up. It will require Loctite to glue the new sleeve into place.

If you look at the pivot shaft w/variable speed,it shows(poorly) the swivel connector. The pivot and variable ground drive use same swivel.I can't find it for traction drive either.

There is a big o-ring but it's not blowing oil out that side.the cheesy little seal is leaking but it may be because the brgs are junk or the spindle or both.Usually when one starts seeping you can just put in a new seal.It probably has variable head drive on the pivot shaft fwd of that spot your looking at.You could snitch it and put in the traction drive to move it.
