I have a oil leak from the PTO that appeared to be from the bottm retainer bolt hole. I discovered that the idiot previous owner used 3 different length bolts and two of them were worn 1/4" + below the head including the bottom one. The two retainer holes the crap bolts were in (top & bottom) were out of round and the faces were ground down. The mating housing hole for the bottm bolt was sloppy when threaded. Of course there are high spots by the retainer bolt holes. There were 5 shims between the retainer and the housing and a gasket between the shims and housing but none between the retainer and the shims.
The shaft has some small dings and scratches that I [polished out. The seal looks OK but is some off-brand so I'll repkace it.
Does anyone have a nice retainer (part # 207617)? Should there be a gasket between the retainer and the shims? My book doesn't show one. What's the process for the shims? It appars that National 50135 seal would be correct. Yes?

I believe that I have a NOS part that you need. However 207617 is not a correct part number for anything related to an IB. Could you post a picture of the part you are wanting?

your photos need to be a bout 800 x 600 pixels.. Most cameras are 5000 x 4000 or so... It is BEST to shrink the photo on computer in PAINT and THEN UPLOAD... if your using a phone, ... email to yourself, then RESIZE the photo prior to download..

Frank, the retainer does not appear to be BROKE... I would think you could file off any burrs or high spots and use rtv or pipe dope to seal everything up ?? If the threaded hole is worn out, use JB WELD and glue in a threaded stud ( all thread) and use a nut to rertain the cover ??

That is an aluminum retainer and you have a 1-3/8" PTO correct? The NOS retainer I have is a steel one for the 1-1/8" PTO. If it isn't cracked anywhere, use a piece of sandpaper on a plate of glass and sand it smooth.
