I am looking for a narrow front for a D17, I perfer manual steer, can purchase out right or trade wide front w/ power steering.

Why not just by the bolster (the narrow front end that  you bolt on to the steering block) and put it on. All D17 front ends were interchangable.
  WD  front ends are a different story for the most part. but some came with interchangeable fronts too.
