Before I call the dealer....
This is on a 6060, but it sounds like they are the same. Their is a shaft that comes out of the front differential unit. It's male and splined. I believe this attaches to a female piece that then connects to a similarly splined male driveshaft. On mine, this was welded together and broke today just behind the weld. So the shaft coming out of the differential needs to be replaced. I'm guessing the weld was done later. It's a crappy weld and there is a shear pin in there that doesn't connect anything. Is their a diagram available of this? Or can someone tell me if this is an easy fix? I'm just curious about the shaft that comes out of the differential. Will the axle have to come off and the differential torn apart? Or does the shaft just slide into something inside the differential once the seal is removed? Thanks! |

It is the pinion shaft for the front diff. Yes the outer axles will have to come out. MACK
