im too young to have ever seen a new galvanized gleaner. but i was looking at a new grain bin the other day and it made me wonder did gleaners ever shine like that? almost like chrome for a while, must have been blinding if thats the case! if they were like that new is there any way to get fhe shine back?

Yep they did and some still do. I was a kid when the N series came out and not only did they shine but they looked like spaceships in the field compared to all the rest.

I've heard there's a product you can get at K-Mart called "Blue Max metal polish". Supposedly makes them very shiny!
Even watching the Gleaner 60th anniversary film on You Tube, I notice the new N's they're building look shiny.

I don't know if they every shinned like they were polished, but they do dull over time. Our N7 when new off the dealer trailer was certainly brighter than it is today, but I wouldn't call it shiny?
