Is the seat bracket on the WD45 supposed to be the same as that on the WD? The bracket on my '45 curves down to attach at the front of the right brake housing cover. The seat adjustment bracket (short-long legs) is curved to match, so my guess is that the seat bracket is supposed to curve. On my friend's WD, the support is not curved. I don't (yet) have a parts manual to check on this. Thanks much!

They are different, the WD doesnt curve, has different bushings and shock and mounting plate. I cant remember if later WDs with the 45 style of trans have the WD 45 seat bracket or not. I have a later WD, but have been on it for a long time, cannt remember.

Thanks, Skip and Jeff. I've been looking at my seat support as the seat feels too far to the right - touches the right fender. The bushings appear to be shot, both those where the support attaches to the cover and those at the top of the shock absorber. Are those readily available? Thanks again! |
