Loads of Poultry Farms south in MO and in AR as well OK and Eastern KS, can see the aspect of Bird Flu wiping out a independent farmer or even one connected to one of the Big Name producers as Tyson or Purdue.   Most of the Bird farms here are lease holder for one of the big name sellers working on quantity commissions.

Nope, stranger than fiction.  It was in 10 lb bags frozen.

Now they also had Tyson, and the price was a little mega different.

Them citidots never had to kill and butcher a Chicken.  Will be awesome funny to watch them try.  Great Aunt could snatch up and pop the neck on a Hen even a Rooster in one fell swoop!!  Hang one leg on clothesline and finish head removal while heart still beating, drained blood and adrenaline off.  Scalding and Plucking left a great deal to be desired!!!!!

Big issue up here is 'processing'. I paid $2 a bird back in 2013, now it's $5 and  40 minute drive each way. So.... I let one neighbour raise the birds, another 'process' them and me, I get 'tractor time' tilling their gardens.....
Seems everyone is happy...
