My WD-45 shows a discharge when I turn on the lights. It was all working fine until I noticed some battery corrosion and decided to clean it up. I am running 6v and did polarize the generator. I cleaned the battery cables, made sure the ground is good and put a new screw in the box holding the switch. I am using heavy enough battery cables for 6v. Everything seems to be good. This does have a newer light switch, but the switch is not a factory one. One I bought on E-pay, but seemed to work. Any suggestions?

The light switch provides the ground circuit for the F terminal on the gen. Ground the F terminal and see what happens. If it charges full rate, pretty good chance your new light switch is not grounded or faulty. Clean all rust from the mounting points of the switch and screws in the box. It'll probably start working.

Make sure that new light switch isn't grounding on the inside of the Ammeter box anywhere. From what a lot of our customer's tell me, that aftermarket 3 pos. switch doesn't fit well in some of the OEM boxes..

I will check it again and try grounding the F terminal. I may have to get ahold of Steve for a new switch, but the charging system has been working. It will be a couple of weeks before I am back at my tractor. Thanks
