Have never done it before. If I remove those 4 bolts from in front of the crankshaft pulley that holds the drive shaft that runs the hydraulic pump, will that connector slide forward enough to put the fan belt on?

Yes it will. Hope your splines are still good. They wear pretty well. The little snap ring might have to move if it is real close. Depends on how far shaft is in front coupling.Grease the chain while you are there. HTH Tracy

Thank you for help, Tracy. I don't know what the splines are but I would guess they are the bushings around the bolts and they have been gnawed on pretty good. AGCO tells me they are no longer available. Do you have any ideas where I can get replacement parts?

The splines are inside the hub, and on outside of shaft. They are what drives the pump from crank pulley once you install the snubbers(worn pieces you refer to) . You should be able to get them from a John Deere dealer, I think they are what was used on a 3010 pump also. The id will need to be enlarged some.A good counter man will know what they are if you take one in. HTH Tracy

Or you can do this!!!!!!!!!Put a link belt on it! Fast and easy!!!! We have ran this style belt on our forklift with pump drive for years & Thousands of hours and its still good as new. Most Industrial places carries it. Here's link to one of the manufacturers.
