    Posted: 24 Jun 2012 at 7:32am
Guys:  Working on cleaning up an AC 160 Gas Power Unit.

Starts and runs fine on low idle.  Bump it up to mid range and high RPM starts to miss and skip.

Distributor ignition, new plugs, plug wires, and coil.

I am guessing ignition timing, or worn bushings in distributor tower.

Have never encountered this before with an AC engine, any comments appreciated - thank-you Orangeman.

Does it miss under any load, even at low RPM?  If so, it could be a fuel problem.

Doug: I went through the fuel side, has plenty of fuel and carb has been rebuilt.  Power Unit sat inside a heated warehouse and was not exposed to the environment.  Good suggestion though - appreciate it.

Try a new set of points and condenser in it.
