I noticed that I have only one spinout rim stop on the backside of the rim on the CA. Do I only need one on each side, or do I need 4 on each side.
Also, once I have the rims in the out most position, does it cause any harm to leave them that way? Would it be better to bring them back in the in most position at the end of the day? Looks like I need to invest in some manuals. |

Usually 2 per wheel for the CA (front and back stop). Otherwise the wheel may slip if you reverse.

No reason to move them back in. If the cultivator was on, you leave them out till the corn was too tall to drive thru. |

I used to move mine when I plowed but since I plow with a different tractor they pretty much stay on 60" now. Might be a good idea to move the locks and lube them at least once a year.

I like to run them with one in front and one behind to be safe, but other than trailering, I have no need to space them exactly for row crop work.
I have found a few aftermarket rims where the rail stops do not allow placement of one each front and back as the holes in the rails do not allow same like the original wheel, when using the original stop.

Normally 2 on each wheel, but my recollection is that if the wheels are al the way out or all the way in, you only need one on each wheel. |

If full in or full out you would only use 1; other wise it would be one on each side. I run my tractor with the wheels out to the first stop point. It keeps the fenders from getting bent if I have a lot of mud stuck on the tires and the wheels are set full in. I do loosen my locks and move the wheels about once a year just to be sure nothing gets rusted in place.

I'm going to buck the trend here. Don't loosen them more than you have to if you have them tight and staying put leave them. My uncle loaned out his 7000 once the guy running it didn't hear the clamps working loose and the tire came of ripping the rim and fender up. As my grandma said just leave sleeping dogs lie.

Two per rail.Use only one when at either end of slide. My 8070 has 4 locking rails per wheel.
