I know this question comes up alot but the guy wants a offer. It's a One-Ninety 1964 model ,4600 hrs on original working tach, sheet metal perfect, tires like new, recently repainted and looks like new, couldn't get it to jump out of gear. Wasn't able to take any pictures. What are common problems and what should I be looking for. I think the 190
has the same engine as the 180 but with a turbo to get a few more hp. Correct me if I am wrong. What was the differences between the plain One-Ninety.Xt, and the series III? Anyways I was thinking of offering $5000.00, Tell me what your thinking. Thanks |

I think you are in the ball park with that offer,
I believe a straight one-ninety does not have a turbo, I believe an XT has the turbo, And the series 3 has some different body panels, and a larger rear end. Hopefully some more people chime in with the differences in the series. |

190 was not turboed, XT was. A 190XT series III was the last of the XT's before the 200 replaced it. The rear end problems were all sorted out by then, actually the year or two before the series III were sorted out. I think AC added series III to try to overcome the bad reputation the earlier XT's had. It's interesting that the D17 never had an official series I or II just a series III and IV, and the XT had a series III but no series I or II before it.
