Probably a stupid question but I can't search a yes or no answer. Is the WD and WD45 a hand start only tractor? If they are not electric start I can't runnem, have had major spine surgery wouldn't work out well for me.

No. You pull the ring just under the throttle quadrant. Right one is to start it while the left is the choke.
Now, if you need to, you can start them with a crank.
