I say the only difference is the WC fenders have the extra braces on them and that a WD fender would bolt right up to a styled WC.  I think I'm being called out on it on the YT forum.  Can anyone here verify the differeces between styled WC and WD fenders.

Gary, look at the fenders, not the tractor. I just went and looked at my WC parts tractor and my WD45. The shape of the fender looks the same. The shape of the notch looks the same even the 3 triangle bolt pattern looks the same. The difference is in the mounting brackets. I didn't measure them, but would bet, if you interchange the mounting plates, they will bolt up.

Hey, I been wrong before !  Differant part numbers, and I don't think the attaching holes are located  the same, I always perceived the shape to be differant, too, but I'll stand back for the experts.

I always figured the basic fender was identical except for the RC-WC braces and a couple of holes drilled where they might not be used on a WD-WD45.

We have just gone though this as well. We moved the brackets from the rusted out WC fenders and welded them to some very nice WD fenders. It worked great. The brackets fit like they sould. We have the light holes in the left fender, and it will get a bullet red light. I was told that they did have a light under the seat that was switched. It had the red bullet atop of a work light along with a switch to let you go between the two.

I bought a set of WD fenders from Tony C for my IB years back. My body man used the original IB fenders for a pattern to duplicate the holes, and I think he welded in the center, but other than that they looked just like the original IB fenders that we took off when he got done.

I have WD fenders on my steel rearend WC just using the 3 bolts in the center no plate. They are still very sturdy and work fine.
