What is all involved in fixing a d-15 that jumps out of third gear? How hard is that to fix? I have found on with pretty good sheet metal, runs ok, tires fair. What is your thoughts on how much that mit be worth? Thanks in advance for your input.

We fixed the one in our 190XT last year our self i think the parts was around 6 or 7 hundred $ not sure about a 15 if you can do it yourself you will save about 75% we are going to fix our CA this winter i have looked up the parts and it is around 500.00 this is uesing after mkt. parts. as to how much its worth it depends is it an earley D15 ir a series 2 dose it have factory 3PT or SC. even if it is a gear jumper but dose run good i would say $1200 to $3500 it just depends on what it is.if its a SER2 with factory 3pt it would be on the hi end.just to let you know its getting hard to find one thats not a gear jumper, we have a ser2 that is a jumper but it onley does it when you are going down hill in 3rd we just hold it in it has done it for years, i will get around to fixing it some day.

I did mine with some new parts, some used. New bearings, lots of time, and have 1500.00 in just the tranny. trick is to get the gear cluster shimmed correctly when you put it back together. Too loose and your no better off than you were with a worn out tranny. Most of the wear and damage is caused by running them a little low on oil.
