just got a copy of Successful Farming's Ageless Iron Almanac in the mail. on page 13 they had a list of all the Allis Chalmers milestones from 25, 50, 75 and 100 years ago.
in the 100 years ago it talked about the introduction of the 10-18, in the 75 years ago it talked about the crawlers with the 6-71 Detroit's. the 50 years ago talked about how popular the 190 XT is, (which is a lot better than hearing about how "great" a 4020 is). now the 25 years ago is great. it say the Allis-Gleaner Company is formed by the purchase of Deutz-Allis . I'm surprised AGCO let this one though! |
