It was over 70* again today and working away in the shop, but it got to be more than a man can stand, so I pulled one of the WD45s out and worked some ground today, it was way over due for me. lmao
I like to here the old 45s bark and the dust fly; the wife to-be came over stopping me to ask if it to early to start planting? I think she is ready to do some tractor driving too. lol
3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

We still have drifts to melt here and I liked to got stuck riding the 4 wheeler out in the pasture yesterday. It'll be a good while B4 a tractor goes in the field around here :(
Wind today helped dry a lot of the top off so, whenever the frost is out and it firms up, I have a food plot to pick corn off of so I can plant it again.

It does not surprise me that you are dry enough to till over there ,when Pat picked me up at the farm to go to Lathrop ,we had 2 " of ice and snow . I had to slide my truck into the yard so I would not hit his truck . Drive to Missouri and not a lick of snow .

PS, Glad to finally meet you Don .   Duane

We still have 2-3 feet of snow on the flat and another 6-10" coming Sat and Sun. Our maples are about all tapped (400 - 450 taps) but not running yet. 7 deg F here this morning and a high of 30 today. Gonna be a late spring in Maine.

Don - I still need to plow my west hilltop this spring but have some time yet as it's going into beans.   Co-op has not spread the lime yet I ordered last fall so that needs to happen first so I can plow it under.   Probably be bit before it's dry enough now to do that and get wheat fertilizer spread as well.   Worried the wheat will not be that great this year given the early cold we had in November right after drilling it.

I sure could use some ORANGE seat time rather than all this damn computer screen seat time I've had for work!  But if I played hooky with all that's going on at work lately I'd get fired!  Enjoy it buddy!   Mike

Well, I did some tilling today with the Honda 4tracs. I went out thru the neighbors field to get to my first deer stand to frost seed some Ladino. I headed down over the first hill to cross the tube in the ditch and sank about 8 inches in the cornstalk ground. I took the long way back out by going thru the next property South to stay in the grass waterway.
I seeded some throw and grow in the ripped up ground and then went out back and seeded more Ladino up on the South Flat.
I might be able to get the Wood Brothers picker to the corn patch by mid April Big smile Then I can put the plow on and tear it up again.

Well I'm definitely jealous, its so wet here I'm leaving 4" ruts in my 2000' drive and I've lived here 13 years and don't remember it ever being this soft, and I hauled over 100 ton of rock last summer.

I thought I'd bring this post back up one more time. lol
I have been sitting on the back porch looking at one of the fields and got to thinking about maybe planting some corn this week, so I called my Ex BIL about picking up seed corn and he said some guy about fifteen miles South of me started planting corn last week. And I thought I had spring fever bad. lmao
Buy the way he talked me out of starting just yet. lol

Me too Don!  Now that it is almost 3 weeks later, it is 37 degrees here and the wind is howling!  Better let that corn planting go for another couple of weeks maybe?  LOL
Oh yeah, heard the wind chill was 21... Big smile  Isn't Wisconsin wonderful? Angry
