I'm looking at buying a D21 and this one has no lift arms or pto.
Did some come without them? I also don't know the year of this one.

Up here where I live, bare back's were very common. At the time they were new, they were a "big field tractor", and most farmers bought them to drop a pin in the draw bar and pull tillage implements around the field. There were no row crops around at the time, so 3 pt implements were un-heard of. And most farmers were very frugile, so if it was an option they might not need, and added an extra buck to the price of the tractor, they went without it. Darrel

How many 7000 series has anyone seen like that? I saw a 7040 that had no 3 point a couple years ago at a sale in Racine MN. I can't remember if it had a PTO.

That must be a fairly early D21 with the old style logo on the fuel tank. Pre '65 I think.

I have a D-21 Series II with PTO but no 3 pt.   I guess it would be a semi-bare back.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

My Dad's old 190XT has the newer symbol in the steering wheel and the old diamond screwed onto the corner of the grill. Was that way when he bought it in '77. It's a '65. I need to restore that thing.

Come to think of it my '65 straight 190 is the same way. I wonder why they used both logos at the same time?

Now I've strayed the topic.

7000 and 8000 series A-C's always had a PTO because it took the PTO driveline to power the hydraulic pumps.
