I have a small hole punch set in the garage and a good tin snips in the toolbox. I make my own shims if I need any. I never made any for the PD clutches but think it would be entirely possible to punch them out.

I think I could if necessary, but wanted to avoid it if i could at all. they are not too extravagant, so it would be quite possible. Any thoughts on where to get good shim stock in fair size dimensions? Napa doesn't have any here. Autozone can get me some, but not in a large enough sheet to make the shims. I am sure the power director takes on some heat when in operation, so I want the quality to be more than adequate.

Thanks a ton! never even thought of Grainger, as we don't have one close by here. I can get it shipped out to my door though, so I will give them a shot
Much appreciated ,  CTuckerNWIL!!!

My AGCO dealer had them in stock for my D17. Price was cheap too.

Chris has a good point.   I got mine from a local agco dealer but I did call Dean Ag and they had them in stock as well.  I think they were less then two bucks a piece.  So if you need .060 in each spot, that's four .015, so 12 x 3 is 36 shims x 2 bucks is 72 bucks plus shipping.  Might not be worth your time to try and make them.

Thanks guys, I will check out Agco too. My big question is who in the world took out all these shims? I wish they would have looked at the rep manual before totally discarding them. Not all these previous owners had access to one though.
