How much should I give for a 63 D19 D?

I have come across a 1963 D19 D that was once my father's. I have the chance to purchase it, but want some input on what I should offer for it. It has set in a machine shed for about 15 years. It is missing the turbo , intake , and manifold . other than that it is all there. I want to completely restor it. i have lots of memories with this tractor . Its a match to our 63 D17 that we have had on our farm sence it was new. Amy help would be great .

I sold my grandfather's, about 5 years ago, it was in running shape, with a NI loader, got $4500 for it.  Keep in mind the market has obottomed out, since then.  I would say, in that shape, minus a turbo and manifold, 2 K would be about tops (leaving out the sentimental value).

It may be hard to put a price on sentimental value, but it's always better to keep a level head. I found our old WD45 for sale  and it was in rough shape for $2500. I walked away and found it a year later and paid far less.

Value is dependent upon a lot of factors. Factory 3 point, rust free spin out rims, and decent sheet metal (and all there). Since the engine does not run you can't assess the condition of the tranny, power steering, clutch, and brakes. $1,000 sound about right; maybe more if the rubber and rims are in good condition.Does the seller have an asking price? If so, your offer should be reasonably close to their asking price. If they don't name an asking price 1st and want you to make an offer; good luck. If this is the case, consider the 1st offer to be close to scrap value plus a little more if the rubber is good. If the seller does not like your offer, then counter with "how much would you want for it?"

I would give 1000 to 1500 depending on tires. The skys the limit if it has that many memories for you. If I could find some of my fathers equipment I grew up on it would be worth more to me than anyone else.
