Anyone know any tricks to get more power out of an Allis C? I know they aren't designed to have a lot of power but I was thinking a little more balls would be nice.

i seen a puller from Iowa that put a super charger of a 3.8 gm engine on his pulling tractor made great power to good actually case he broke the rim and tire right of the side of the tractor when he took off down the track had to drag it side ways to clear the track i would have been so embarrassed but that's part of it

Easy fix? install a larger carburator from like a D15 or D15 II.

No special engine supports required with the 138, 149, and 160 engines.  Having said that, I have seen 170+ cubic inch engines that were based on the 125 block. Probably 55-65 HP.

So if a person were to put one of those engines in an Allis C, one could consider that C to be one Mean Orange?
