My D15 is a serise 2 but I don't know what the serial number is because it's all pitted away. How do I know what tach/speedo gauge I need?.

Your serial number is above 9001. Pretty sure all D-15 gassers used the same tachometer. Counter-clockwise needle movement.....2400 RPM top speed........1800 RPM PTO 540 speed.
