Record sales at the veggie trailer today....never knew business could be so good! We have been so busy stocking the trailer that I haven't been able to keep up with my tractor work. I think I need an 80hp tractor with a nice quiet cab, AC and lots of lights....any suggestions?

Take a one-ninety XT down to a custom shop and get er all done up right. I do a lot of dreaming about doing that to my XT. Ever hear the story about the "cab of the future" on the XT's? Darrel (You may be over the 80 hp, though)

I'd still like a 175D w/turbo, and a rubber mounted cab. The 6080 or 190 would work, but I still like the big stick and straddling the tranny for a lower profile since I mow around a lot of trees.....

I might get shot for this one but I bought a 6010 seeries John Deere. It fits with what you described, low center of gravity,power shift, fwd,nice roomy two door cab,and you can put a JD loader on it that fits like a glove. Sorry it's not a Allis,but I love my 6210 fwd open station with 640 JD loader and a joystick loader contol.

Price range? 7740 Ford or TS100 NH is same thing just newer. 12x12 fully synchronized or 16 sp powershift.

6080 would get my vote. I like how easy they are to operate and the versatility they provide. Nice cab, easy shifting trans, and a very fuel efficient engine with more power than one might think.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I have a New Holland TS100A 2004 year and I love it. Used though their going to be around 30,000+ at leas around here.
6080 is OK and for what you do probably OK if you can find a good one. I had an AGCO LT70 at one point and I liked it but AGCO's are pricey.
Around the same price as the 6080 is a Ford 7710 which I think are good tractors and from what I understand easy to work. I think the engine in the TS100A is just a newer version than that and mine starts up every time even in very cold weather. My AGCO RT100A wouldn't start when it was very cold even if you had it plugged in and the battery fully charged.

I'd put a cab on one of the 175s and mow around the trees with it and use one of the 170's with out a cab to mow under the trees. lol

No brainer 6080 all the way. My vote for best tractor ever built regardless of brand. We farm 1200 plus acres of mostly row crops. There are nine tractors that are involved. Ranging from a D12 to a FW-30 year in and year out the 2 6080's get the most hours. Stock the motors are very fuel effeicent, stock most of them are turning close to 100hp, they are nimble, and good in the mud. If your concerned about tree thats why they make dozers.

Unfortunately the trees belong to my customers.....maybe I just need two mowers and two tractors....pick the right one for the job.

I only ran a 6080 for a few hours loading bedding at the county fair a few years ago. Seemed like an OK tractor but I wasn't real impressed with the transmission, maybe it's just something you get used to.
Schmidt has some nice tractors but I've noticed if they don't post the hours they may be pretty high.
The Fords with the factory cab is a nice tractor. I also like the Kubota's, although the smaller ones with cabs are a bit small inside. Another tractor to consider is a Carrorra (not sure about the spelling). They are 4X4, low, have a nice cab and have a lot of power. We have one at the orchard for flail mowing and spraying in the spring. It has a loader which is used mostly to load compost into the spreader.
Maybe you can use a cab tractor in treeless jobs and what you currently have for where you have to dodge trees.

Unfortunately with most all dealers, their prices are way out of line, of course that is what they are "asking" don't know what could get it bought. I will tell you though Schmidt and Sons, is where I buy all my parts, and have them shipped to CO, and at least the parts, folks are outstanding.

ya'll may shoot me...but both me and my ole lady....oooops...i mean my loving wife both (separatly) drove a new Massey at Husker Harvest days....but can't remember the # of it...it was awesum! plenty of site thru the cab glass all around! it was an 80 hp, but small like a 170 AC. the hood sloped down in front and you could really see good up front!

I was out bush hogging a couple of fields today and pretending I was in a nice air conditioned cab tractor....then I hit a big rock.....and ripped a mirror off the cab sideswiping a tree.....:-(

I wouldn't mind a nice 6080 if one comes along at the right price. It might not be my main mowing tractor, but would be a nice option for some dirty jobs I do. I need to add something to my depreciation schedule this year anyway....it will be either a truck or a tractor.....

I was mowing with a flail mower and my LT70 when a rock flew up and blew out the back corner window. I was glad I had a cab or I might not be here. A rotary cutter is a little safer than a flail though.
