I have a very rusted old carburetor and I am thinking about using electrolysis to help clean it. Question: The main body has a "brass" jet that I can't unscrew, will electrolysis destroy this jet? Also the top of the carb. has the "aluminum" tag that has the number of the carb. (Zeneth carb.) will electrolysis destroy this tag?

Last year my D-14 carb was just what you described. I removed it and dropped into a gallon of Hines cleaning strength vinegar, brass parts and all, let it set 48 hrs. When I took it apart it cleaned to pretty metal with just a nylon brush and nylon dremil bruffer for very small shafts. When reassembled the tractor runs great.
