Do i need a transport valve on a WD 45 to use the traction boster with a semi mounted plow? plow book says it must have a transport valve. Dont have a book for a 45.

Yes, the transport valve is required. It allows the front of the plow to come out of the ground before the rear. Without it , the traction booster, when operating, will raise the back of the plow allowing it to swing out of the furrow towards the land away from the furrow. You probably can purchase the valve, indicator and lines from a salvage tractor.

You can replace the transport valve with a high pressure ball valve, then turn it on and off from the seat as necessary.

You could also drop the plow in the ground and then disconnect the hose to the rear cylinder till you got to the other end.

If your plow has a rear tailwheel you should use a transport valve. If your plow is fully mounted you do n ot need a transport valve.
