i bought a 17 a while back and it finally made it to the top of the list. the biggest problem is it grinds when you pull it into low. it seems fine in high and nuetral. the other issues like it smoking like a train and multiple leaks, i think i can handle. any ideas where to start?

If it won't move and grinds in low side there is a bearing out on reduction shaft causing shaft to drop down from drive gear. MACK
