Where did that shed come from.......

I think alot more of that will be seen as real estate tax & land values continue upwards?
Another recent happening in our area is arson.  There have been numerous vacant houses burned to the ground.  Insurance companies don't like to insure a vacant house.

You can see it back behind the house in first pic.My neighbor bought this place a month ago,he's been farming it for many years, the fire dept burned the house and tested some new equip.

around this part of the country people are buying those old houses and remolding them.

 That's too bad. It looks like it was a pretty solid square structure yet.
  When I got possesion of my Great Uncles old place I did all I could to save it. It was in bad need of structural work though and I just couldn't save it. I tried to contact the National Historic Registry and several other organizations to see if anyone could help but it was torn down and burned last year. It was one of the first frame structures built in this area other than houses in town. It was built in 1853.

The house was in really bad condition,it would have cost a small fortune to make it livable.Plus the chance of getting a good renter anymore is pretty slim!

so one positive of a house that is ''beyone repair'' is to give the fire department a place to practice and as was said, try out some new equipment before it HAS to work.
