Isn't this just a regular disconnect that came on the WC's or am I missing something?

Looks like an empty housing too. There is no pinion gear sticking out the back.

I'm one of the people that e-mailed him to let him know what it is. He replied back to ask if it was worth anything and I told him they are pretty common and not worth much if anything.

Some of these folks that do e-bay sales need to do some research sometimes before they advertise their goods for a lot of money. I've seen it many times over the years. Also, I like the folks who are selling a car and take the pictures in the garage where its dark, and you can't see much in the picture. To me, its like, why waste the time with pics if you can't see anything, unless that's the idea? Make the effort to move it out in the sunlight and take pics if you want to sell it so the parties that are interested can see it!  Sheesh! I don't rant very much, so, that was my rant for the year....   LOL!

That is a traction release coupling-- would work well for towing machine from one job to another. otherwise of no value on this outfit.

The PTO will run without the drive disconnect. The worm for the mechanical lift will not. That's what this is for. If you drop the cultivator in the barn, you can disconnect the drive and raise the cultivator with the tranny in gear and the tractor doesn't move.
The drive disconnect had a split shaft with the pinion on the back half behind the disconnect. If the pinion which is on the back half of the split shaft isn't there, the piece is useless.
