Fellas, if you're of a mind to, my sister could use the power of prayer.

She was admitted to the hospital Saturday, struggling with Covid.  So far seems to be getting worse instead of better.

The real kicker is, I'm the one who gave it to her.

Thanks.

      Prayers for your sister on the way.
     Would the drs. consider the hydroxychloroquine or other treatment?

Praying for our LORD'S gracious and healing touch upon your sister and that He comforts and strengthens her family.

Prayers from me also. Have you talked  to Doctor about what he is treating her with. I would insist that they use either hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin. Have read good reports on either one of them being highly effective. May God grant the doctors the wisdom to treat her with the most effective course of medicine. God Bless.

Guys, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  Genuinely appreciated.

Just so you know, I will NOT be answering any questions on what she is or isn't being treated with.  I will only say this once: our hospital has been doing a very good job of getting people well.

There are some that just don't seem to respond no matter what.  That's the scary part, she was doing decent, even better, then after a week took a quick downturn, and that's when things seem to keep going downhill.

Thanks again.

T-bone, thoughts and prayers from here too...

  To bad you can't just inject your covid fighting antibodies into your sister...

I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;

Craig... what Lou said. You cant say you gave it to her. There are tens of MILLIONS of people that have had it. Its everywhere. Hard to say how anyone got it.

Stay strong and pray for the best.  Doctors work wonders with the new medicines.

Michigan is a hot spot right now.. Spreading like wild fire. Dont really know why.

To the newer posters, thank you.

There isn’t much doubt I was the carrier to the family. I appreciate what you’re saying, but there isn’t much doubt. 4 guys at work called in on Monday the 29th. Myself and 5 others Tuesday. As of now, 20 out of 85 people at work got sick this wave. Roughly 10-12 others have gotten it in the past, so it got us good this time.

So within 5 days of my positive, my daughter, niece, her husband, and my sister all got it. We had dinner together Saturday, and for good measure, Monday too. Before I was symptomatic. Do the timing and the fact nobody goes anywhere, it was me from work. Saturday, I give myself a pass, no clue. Monday? 4 guys off, and a cough??? I kick myself, I should have known better. I wrote it off as my asthma, all day Sunday I worked in mom and dad’s garage building a ramp for mom, thought the dust and stuff irritated me. By Tuesday morning I had my fever.

So....it was me.

By the time you realize you have it, it's already too late. I brought it home from work and gave it to my wife. She hadn't been anywhere so it had to come from me. I hadn't been anywhere but work so I got it from there. Not much you can do about it when you work for a living and you sure as heck didn't bring it home on purpose. Take care and don't blame yourself. Prayers for you and your family.

Prayers from west central Missouri. Man, this is a weird virus. All of my household (4) had it sometime (mildly) from the end of October to New Years, but so far as I know, I haven't got it. I was congested and had a cough late September to early October but never had a fever (scanned each day to get into work) and never lost my taste/smell.

This is how I feel.....yes, I work for a living and therefore it's the risk we take.   It's not so much I feel "guilty" like it's all my fault.  So, I'm not hanging my head going why why why, but still, you see your family sick like that and know you're a link in the chain, there's definitely a sad feeling associated with that that you don't just step away from.

Ironic, my niece had made "dinner" to take to a church event that Monday night.  She found out some of the people going to be there were around Covid exposed people, so she said she isn't going (she's pregnant btw) and be exposed to that.  So invited my family down to her Mom's (my sister) to eat the food.  Stupid irony!

Thanks guys.

It seems like we are using covid as an excuse to not go places and do things trying to avoid it and then one day you turn around and there it is staring you right in the face. Sometimes you almost wish you would just get it and get it over with and you  didn't have to keep looking over your shoulder. You hear reports about most not getting too bad but also there are the ones that really suffer. Trust in God when it is your time.

Prayers coming your way from here T-Bone.  It's one of those 'what if' things and yes, you'll worry yourself sick wishing you hadn't done.........  As were are God's creatures, that is the way we feel.  You just need to trust in Him and pray too.  I'm hoping she has upturned by now and is doing better.
My daughter is a nurse, so she gets tested all the time and the SIL works in the nuclear poser plant so he gets tested all the time too.  Not sure who had it first, but they both got it and the two kids.  NONE of them even had a fever or cough.  Then there are those like your sister and it hits SO hard.  All we can do is pray and hope this goes away FASSSSsssT!!
