So I got my new rear main seal and got that all installed and put the flywheel on.   The flywheel got resurfaced and I gave the spec that I was told on here, 1.437 I think to him and he resurfaced it and also cut down the corresponding area where the pressure plate mounts to.   I didn't double check his work as he's always been spot on with everything before.   My question is, the IT manual says that from the face of the pressure plate to the outside point where the release bearing contacts should be 1 3/16".   When I got it all together, the measurement was 1 3/8.    I adjusted all of them to 1 3/16 which makes the bolts almost all the way into the fingers with the stop bolts still on.   This would make sense to me somewhat, cause as the clutch wears and if it needs to be adjusted, the bolts would have to come out to make up for that, correct?   I guess I was just wondering if I need to adjust the fingers any differently for the fact that the flywheel got resurfaced and so the the pressure plate moved forward somewhat from the release bearing surface and that measurement is now different.   I know I can adjust them once I get it all back together, but it's much easier to do it, or at least most of it, when it's apart right now.   Just wanted to make sure I am correct seeing as I am using an IT manual and now have a newer clutch that probably wasn't around when the manuals were first made.

You need to roll it back together with a couple bolts holding things tight. Slip the PTO lever into gear and clamp a vise grips on the PTO shaft and while a trusted operator is sitting on the seat, holding the clutch pedal 100% down, see if you can turn the PTO shaft, to be sure the clutch assembly is fully released (while the trans is in neutral, of course). If not, you need to back those set screws out.

Ok, thanks.   Great advise.   When I get that far, I will do that.   Was worried that I didn't check my guys work, so I just removed the pressure plate and measured it and it's right on the spec you gave me.   Thanks for the help and happy thanksgiving to you all.
