Any of you guys ever run with a crew for the midwestern harvest? I'm looking into it pretty heavily. Have any names of good operations you want to share? Things to look for and things to be careful of when looking at working for a crew?Does what kind of equipment they run really make that big of a deal in todays world? Anybody know of anyone running Gleaner Super 7's? They look sweet...

I know a guy who ran on a crew running N6's and 7's back when they were new. He was from PA and ran wheat with them one summer. He loved it. At the time he was right out of high school, needed the money, and loves farm equipment. He said it was long hours but a great experience for him.

When I worked at New Holland Machine, there was crews that ran the Partsmobiles and followed the harvest. Why don't you go next door and see if they are still doing it? Maybe your neighbor down the road (Donnie's Dad) could give you some advice? He was working Service for NH back then, I know he is with Kubota now, but he might still know somebody.

Butch Cherrington's son Bill ran with the wheat harvest last year. I think he said the harvester was out of OH.

Yup,Bill worked for Eyster Harvesting from near Wooster. As far as I can tell a person would look long and hard to be treated better than he was. They will be running 5 brand new JD something or others this year,

Morton call around some of the Gleaner/agco dealers and find a reputable harvester. It will give you a lasting experience and you get to see the country and make some good money. Just make sure you hook up with a quality outfit.

I've got the name of a good guy, I'm just wondering if I have all the right questions to ask. My mothers co-workers son has been going with them for 3 years now and has nothing but good things to say about them. I'm just wondering how to approach the situation.
Glenn, whos Donnie?
