bearing sizes ?

just woke up from a long night of splitting my first c allis and taking the engine apart it was really neat someone put a motor allis motor out of something it is a 3 3/8 bore and i believe a 125? cubic inch but the thing is the block has had a hole drilled and tapped in the side of it to allow for a braket to mount a generator on it i would have thought all allis blocks had holes for generator brakets funny thing.

well any ways me and dad miked the crank out and it was 1.2185 on the main bearings and 1.9275 on the rod bearings the center main bearing was the colprit for the knock in the engine far as i can tell the babit is chewed up terrible and a good find also was that the oil ring on the number 1 cylinder was broke when i popped it out of the sleeve that made me very happy. The rods and pistins and rings all look really good and tight yet and the sleeves have no groves at all wore

But the bad news is the Crank i dont know what to do? Is there bearings that are availeble at under sized .040 for the main bearings.
they want 100 bucks to grind it down but then i still need new bearings dont know what they cost

the other route is trying to buy a good used crank with matching bearings that are good yet but i dont know what that cost ether anyone have some numbers to get a idea of what i should do next????? thanks for anyone that may help me out ~AMP~

Nope, the early B's with the BE engine did not have bosses for generator brackets cause they were hand crank only and didn't have a battery or generator. I would bet you have a BE engine block. Look for the engine number on a rectangle pad top center of bell housing flange, should start with BE
