well, does it work?
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

I'm told it does, yes; but I'm the only one that would ever attempt to use it. It was used routinely until they purchased a shop mig in the early 80's.

So.....a WELDER that size was buried in your shop?  Dang.  That's some burying.  Our "shop" is bad, but I'm pretty sure there's no welder buried in it!!!LOL

It's not that physically large really and easily fits under a workbench where it was since probably the late 90's. The owner long forgot about it and the next generation had never seen it.....

Looks like a good supply of hangars also , or as we use to call them gas welding rod supplies for piecing together exhaust systems for cars - Shop where I worked when in high school got uniforms from laundry service and they came on coat hangers - looked at it as new supply of welding rod with every delivery .
Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

I do the same Coke. Long lost count of 1/4's and door skins I've welded on when younger.

Since Allis Chalmers had a electrical division did they build this welder or at least design and have the parts made to their specifications?

I'll ask as I wouldn't have any knowledge. I've had A-C motors in the past on air compressors and such but had never seen a welder prior to this one.

It does state "distributed by" however?
