Well I am heaving my AMERICAN -BOSCH pump in the garbage.I would like an informed opinion on which model pump I should be looking for to replace it.I know the logical choice would be ROOSA, but what model is best suited for the 8070.I realize I will have to buy new injectors and fuel lines as well. Anyone having a rebuilt pump for sale can let me know here.

A series inline Bosch, KC grain who post on here from time to time has the adapter and lines, you will need to change the idler gear and inj. pump gear to the one that is used with the Roosa pump. The inline and the roosa turn 1/2 of crank rpm. I have had one on my 8070 for about 6 years now, fuel delivery is set a about 180 hp. Don't get wild with your hp setting or you will be doing an engine overhaul. The governor control on these pumps is excellent, you will never go back.

The new Roosa pumps must be a lot better/different than the ones in the 70's and 80's.

Will the Bosch injectors I have for the M100 series pump work with the A series pump?

sounds like you just haven't had the "right" person rebuild your model 100. While they aren't my favorite, they are pretty durable, when repaired correctly. There are so many shops offering reman M100's that are very poor quality! An "A" pump would be nice on an 8070, but a lot of work just to get around poor quality workmanship on M100's. An A pump costs more to rebuild too.

That AmBach pump even on an 8070 should last 3,000 hrs or more if overhauled correctly. Leave your injectors set at 3600 psi instead of 4000 to 4200 like spec is, will help the pump last longer.
