I took the caps off the hubs and was repacking the front bearings today.
I had the front end jacked up and noticed there was play in each spindle. I could move the wheel back and forth maybe an 1/8 of an inch top and bottom. Is there a bushing inside these?
Its 56 years old so im not expecting it to be tight... how much play before I need to tear it apart?
Thanks fellas,
Jim

Bushing is at the top and bottom of each spindle. The spindle shaft itself could be worn too.
