I know of cast pipe flanges.... circles where 1/2" pipe screws in,with 4 holes for mounting... maybe post a link or picture of what you need. happy to help since HIS machine is making a bit of a mess up here.... ![]() ok maybe this... https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=2+bolt%2C++oblong%2C+++threaded%2C++1%22+flange which leads me to think about flange mounted bearings for your 'project' ?? OK,,let me try this way. and Jay, your link did not open for me,,, Coke, I looked at all of them and did not see the ones I;m lookin for. I very familiar with the 4 and 8 bolt threaded flanges in 150, 300 and 800 and even 1600 pound ratings, but was lookin for the ones that are 2 bolt and sorta oblong or rectangular shaped. I did find some rectangular shaped ones but were only available in 1/2" threaded and mallable iron. I want some in steel and to be 1" threaded. I know they make em just can't remember how they are listed,,,,,,grrrrrrrr

Take a plasma cutter and cut the mounting base you need.
Then buy some SCH 40 1" pipe x 2" long female coupling and weld to the mounting base. |

How about Taco circulator flanges? They come in several pipe sizes. Most plumbing supply or places like Home Depot should be able to get them if they don't have them.
Taco flanges There were some cast iron Bell and Gosset ones below the brass one in DMiller's post with the Grainger link. |

Hey Jim.Me ,,,Thanks for your input,,,I think those are the same flanges that JohnKC referred to that go on the grundfos and Taco pumps, but are cast iron. I was really wanting some forged steel flanges as they will be subject to pulling forces that might pull the threaded part from the flange itself. Altho,,,I think the 2"300 threaded flanges have the threaded part in the center of the flange material itself and would be better for what I want to do..

re: ...as they will be subject to pulling forces that might pull the threaded part from the flange itself... That line as me concerned and maybe we can come up with a SAFE and secure alternative solution. I have some time ,seeing how 'the machine' fizzled out overnight !

Dave, them there stripper pole flanges look like the ones I used on the fifth wheel to install a replacement ladder. Whoah maybe i should rename them and put them on ebay. Think I have some left over ones in the scrap iron pile at this moment.
