I would like to know if the gas crankshaft is a drop it swap for the 230 buda diesel block.
Need to know what will work before I start looking for a replacment crank for a 45diesel.
If anyone has the casting numbers also.

Seems like you need to swap the cam from a 262 in with the 262 crank. If I remember reading correctly, there are notches in the cam to clear the connecting rod caps.

I believe the 230 gas and diesel crankshafts carry the same part number.

At one time Illini Construction Equipment had a few NOS 230 crankshafts on the shelf.

Yes the crank for 230 is the same for gas or diesel. The cranks for 262 are the same, except it is a longer stroke. MACK
