Does anyone have a adjusting crank for a 209 Simplicity cultivator?

A good machine shop should be able to turn left hand threads. A quick eBay search came up with a die for $9. I never realized it was left hand threaded.

That complicates things a bit. I have one in my shop, but haven't played with it enough to know. It'd take a machinist with a lathe to turn that setup. If you are on Facebook, there are a couple of Simp/AC garden tractor pages. www.simpletractors.com has a classified section. It's a club, so there are dues, but I think you can post a non picture ad and I know you can read the ads.

just get a adjustable top link for a 3 point - has both left and right threads - and modify to fit your use

Problem with that Coke, is the adjuster in question is 7/16" rod and maybe a foot long. For a cultivator that goes behind a garden tractor. I do wonder though if a small turnbuckle couldn't be made to fit somehow.

I have 2 or 3 of those cultivator frames out back. I'll look today to see if there is a hand crank on any of them. Knowing where they have been for the last 30 years, it might be better to make up a new one

If it's still there a good shot of Sea Foam penetrating oil and a wire wheel on a drill can work wonders.
